Claude was born on March 9, 1935 and passed away on Tuesday, November 14, 2017.

Claude was a resident of Jackson, Tennessee at the time of passing.
He was born in Glasgow Mt.He was the son of Virgil and Ruby Horsford Merry.Claude started school in rural McCone Co Montana. He walked 5 miles to school. Later he attended Circle schools. He was a member of the class of 52. After graduation he worked for Sterhan Constrution building the Cirle High School, In the fall of 53 he entered the USAF.He was stationed at KellyAir Force base where he took Linguistics training. He was then sent to Monterey Ca to learn the Russian language, From ther he was sent to Hof, Germany.He worked in the Intelligence service up until he married a German National.When this assigment was over he returned to the states with his wife Helga and infant daughter, Debbie.He reenlisted in1958. This time he chose electronics at Keesler Air Base in Ms.He graduated with the highest score ever achieved. He was assigned to Moffit Field at Sunnyvale. His unit was selected many, many times as "Outstanding Unit" of the A.F. Then on to Vandenburg to finish out his 25 years. After retiring spent 9 years with Ford Aerospace.. Claude lived in Lompoc many years before moving to Jackson Tn., with wife Ginny.. Claude was preceded in death by his parents,wives Helga and Darlene and one half brother Troy Lindsey
Survivors are hhis wife Ginny of Jackson Tn ;one daughter Debbie of Panama City Florida;one son Douglas of San Francisco Ca; one step daughter LeeAnn of Santa Maria Ca;sisters Reba Sept Circle Mt; and Lana Craig of Scottsdale Az. 4 half-sisters, Darlene Hamburg of Hardin Mt; Linda Rash of Grand Junction Co;Sherry Putmen of Las Cruces N.M; and Billie Lindsey od Albuquerque N.M.One uncle Ed Horsford and wife Wanda of Hale Center Tx.
