Jackson, Tennessee - M.A. Goldstein (Mickey) 93, born on June 12, 1924. Was originally from Chicago, IL and the son of the late Jay and Amelia Goldstein. He served in the Army Air Corp during World War II and following the war, he attended DePaul University in Chicago, IL. Later, he met JoAnne Bergel of Jackson, who was visiting Chicago. They married and started their family here in Jackson in 1948. He worked for Sam Bergel Auto Parts and then started his own business, United Rent-All. Later, he took a sales position with Momar, Inc. and after more than 40 years service, retired as Senior Vice President. After retirement, he and his wife became successful actors and were in commercials, plays, print, and more. Among those was a very happy clip in country music video, "Voices" by Chris Young. They recently celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary. Mickey is survived by their four children Pat Goldstein of Memphis, TN, David Goldstein of Essexville, MI, Sammy Goldstein of Tampa, FL, Jill Patton (John) of Olive Branch, MS and nine grand children, Lauren (Karl) Schook, Josh (Becky) Goldstein, Allison Goldstein, Christopher (Teresa) Bergeron, Jonathon (Whitney) Bergeron, Christopher, Cayce, Tyler and Taylor Brasel and six great grand children, Joseph, Jacob, Jamison, Olivia, Oliver, and Mary-Katherine. He also leaves a sister, Nan Wolf and niece Amy (Dave) Sorter. Mr. Goldstein's family would like to thank his devoted caregivers Mae Curry, Pearlie Fields, Kathie Fuller, Liz Booth, Silas Duke, and Phyllis Matthews. Visitation will be Thursday, November 2nd, from 5-7pm at George A. Smith and Sons North Chapel. A memorial service will be held on Friday at 3pm at Temple B'Nai Israel 401 W. Grand Street. Burial will follow at B'Nai Israel cemetery on Hollywood. Charitable donations can be sent to American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, and Congregation B'Nai Israel's Pritzker-Rauch Youth Scholarship Fund.
